Wren Street is a place + community planning consultancy with a focus on urban regen, arts and culture and economic development. We have worked with local & state governments, business chambers, and membership organisations.

We have experience preparing place plans, master plans, cultural strategies, economic development strategies, scenario reports, talent attraction strategies, thought leadership + advocacy documents, as well as stakeholder engagement plans that place communities at the heart of future planning.

About
Matt Endacott

Wren Street was established in 2020 by Matt Endacott. Matt holds a M. Urban Renewal and Housing (UNSW 2018) and a B. Economics (Sydney 2013). Prior to founding Wren Street, Matt worked in all tiers of government, the private sector, and was a Director of the Newcastle Art Gallery Foundation.

Matt was City Commissioner - Lower Hunter Greater Newcastle on the Greater Cities Commission from September 2022 until its dissolution on 31 December 2023. In this role he represented the local government areas of Newcastle, Maitland, Cessnock, Lake Macquarie and Port Stephens, an area with a combined population of more than 600,000.
